After spending three years studying environmental management, Dave decided it was time to unwind. He spent the next two years travelling the world, only returning to the UK to top up funds and see old friends. In at the deep end Dave flew to the U.S.A. and bought an old van. He and a friend drove 14,000 miles without the slightest bit of mechanical knowledge and survived to tell the tale. Before growing up and returning to the UK Dave also managed to fit in an extended tour around the traditional Australasia-South East Asia route.
Dave brings a wealth of practical advice and humorous anecdotes of his travels. And he's also a real anorak when it comes to Latin plant names so we try and keep him off the subject for as long as possible.
When not running courses Dave can be found clinging to some rocky outcrop in Scotland or further a field and scaring himself silly.
