With a degree in Psychology and a background in working with people with social and mental difficulties, Katherine is an excellent listener and has patience with no bounds, which have certainly been called upon during her travels:

Katherine is our Africa expert with 11 countries to her name and a constant yearning to go back that is only hampered by her feeling guilty about not seeing some more of the world! She therefore is on a continuing mission to get somewhere new each year.

In true adventurer style Katherine learnt the hard way when she bought an old car from a 'born again Christian', in Western Australia. With replacement, engine, gearbox and water pump, together they gingerly travelled around for a year building the oddest owner/car relationship!

Recently Katherine completed the Annapurna circuit in Nepal, Even with all her past adventures a dog bite in Muktinath added drama to an already magnificent experience and ensured she remained in the country for longer than was planned, a fact that she was happy to live with!
